Representatives from the Pascua Yaqui Tribal Council joined with Valencia Middle School and Native American Student Services in celebrating the opening of the school's new weight room. Pascua Yaqui Treasurer Thomas Cupis was joined by Council Members Gonzales, Saldana and Gomez for the ribbon-cutting. Funded by the Pascua Yaqui Tribal Council, the room was a response to requests from Valencia students for a weight room. Valencia Middle School staff is also enjoying access to strength training and weightlifting. Thank you to the Pascua Yaqui tribe for your support!
